Natalie Martell is Minneapolis-based queer writer. She is at work on a novel for teen readers called An Impossible Blooming. Since earning her MFA from Minnesota State University, Mankato, she has received creative support grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board and the Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council. Her poetry has appeared in THRUSH, Tupelo Quarterly, The Journal, Salt Hill, and SWWIM. Natalie is the Arts Manager for Cow Tipping Press and has led writing courses for teens and adults through The Loft Literary Center. She loves reading all different kinds of books, exploring the Minnesota wilderness, painting birds, and playing with her two cats.

Natalie Martell is a 2023 recipient of a Creative Support for Individuals grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. These activities are made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation by the Minnesota State Legislature; and by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
